Aurora Aksnes was born the 15th of June, 1996 in Stavanger Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and often stylized with uppercase letters as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015 and was praised by both music bloggers as well as the press. The artist has already released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by the group Oasis for a Christmas advertisement by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway with her voice, gave her the track a little more attention. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was discovering a piano in her loft, and becoming captivated by its music. Her parents May-Britt and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to explore music and not just as a career or hobby but rather to gain experience. To do this she began to write songs that were her own creations. Her influence comes from famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan along with the style of Bjork. When she was told by her mother that her songs can be a catalyst for her to gain fame, but also make other people realize their significance in the world and realize the potential of her songs, she opted to make a public debut. In the age of 6 she started playing the piano, and when she was nine was writing music. It wasn't known to her family about her musical talents until she turned fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. She claims that she just is a fan of writing songs. To her, music is the best method to communicate anything.
